Can you be so full of hope that your current obstacle doesn’t distract you from your goals? Sometimes, a life trial can feel so hard that we become obsessed with the problem and preventing further issues. If proper coping skills are not used during these times you are more likely to develop a victim mentality and feel hopeless about things ever getting better. But, It’s important that you find the beauty in the struggle and refuse to let life turn you bitter, cynical, distrustful, fearful, and angry.

I had a dream where I was walking in the thunderstorm and I was embarrassed that people driving by could see me. I tried to turn back to go home, but I realized I would be judged either way. So, I decided to keep walking in the thunderstorm towards my goal. Eventually, I started to play in the rain as I progressed. This dream signaled that I shouldn’t give up despite judgment, pain, and hardship! It encouraged me that if I kept going, I would learn to thrive in hard situations!
