As we step into the first month of the year, I wanted to share a bit of my own journey and reflections with you. Are you feeling confident in God’s love and the plan He has for your life?
In 2023, I realized I forgot to give certain parts of my heart to God. I kept pushing forward, thinking I was doing okay, but I didn’t deal with the insecurity, fear, and feelings of unsafety inside me.Today, during my prayer, God showed me that I was more focused on blaming situations and people for exposing what was already in me.
Maybe you can relate – sometimes, our emotions become overwhelming because we’re not putting all our trust in God. Instead, we focus too much on how situations turn out and what people do, setting ourselves up for disappointment. Life and people are not perfect; they’ll hurt and disappoint us. But God never will.
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:7-8, NIV)
Remember, life throws curveballs , but God’s love and His plan for our lives don’t change. While people might lie, God doesn’t (Numbers 23:19). While people mess up, God stays pure and sinless (1 John 3:5).

Prayer for the Month of January
Dear God, As I step into this new year, my heart is open to You. Thank you for today and the chance to seek Your love and healing.
I know I’m not perfect. Show me where I need healing – the worries, fears, and doubts inside me. Shine Your light on those areas, and let Your love fix my heart. Help me be strong in forgiving others and myself for the mistakes of last year. When I feel down, shower me with Your mercy for comfort and renewal.
God, in uncertain times, help me trust in You. Remind me that Your love and plans for me never change. Like trees with strong roots, let me stand firm in Your truth. As I go through January, help me remember Your unchanging love, even when people let me down. May this month bring healing, strength, and a deeper trust in Your love.
I give You my hopes, fears, and dreams for this month, knowing Your plans are good. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
