Are you struggling to heal after abuse? You’re not alone. After enduring such trauma you may feel like you deserved it, you allowed it to happen, or no one will ever protect you. Whatever you are feeling… It’s normal. Check out these three stories and their sexual abuse journey books to help you heal:
Excerpt of childhood sexual abuse book: “This true story of Lorna’s traumatic experiences growing up as a child in her country Jamaica. She was sexually abused, physically abused, and lost. Feeling all alone; the emotional and mental pain nearly destroyed her life. ” – Lorna A. Grant!
Lorna A. Grant is a personal family friend. She is such a powerful woman. She overcame sexual, physical, and metal abuse. Because of the pain, she started to rebel and make very bad decisions. She was living a very unhappy life.
The abuse resulted in her dealing with bitterness, resentment, loneliness, distrust, hate, anger, shame, doubt, and lying. She nearly destroyed her life because she was carrying the emotional baggage around. She documents her journey in her book: No More Masks: How to Overcome Darkness and Live in the Light!
When she hit rock bottom, she cried out to God. God took her on a journey of self-discovery and emotional healing. Today, Lorna is a radically transformed woman. She is ALWAYS smiling and happy to help other women exit cycles of brokenness.
Sexual abuse isn’t normal! But, the pain that it causes is normal!
Her story is similar to Joyce Meyers, an American pastor. Joyce Meyers was raped by her own father for years, she wrote about it in her book – Joyce Meyers: A Life of Redemption and Destiny! After accepting Jesus, God walked Joyce through forgiveness and healing. Eventually, Joyce was able to forgive her father. But, it took time! Joyce nearly destroyed her marriage and relationships because she was so difficult to deal with!
Excerpt from sexual abuse book: “Her father often told her what they were doing was natural and good and she was lucky to have a father that loved her so much.” – Joyce Meyers!
Winne also had a similar experience. She was physically, emotionally, and mentally absued. She grew up to cause others that same pain. Until she met Jesus. Here she documents how to fix toxic traits and heal!
Ultimately, Jesus helped Winnie, Lorna, and Joyce to heal. God transformed their lives and gave them happiness instead of mourning.
