I know life gets hard, sis.
And sometimes, it’s not just the storms that wear you down — it’s the people and situations that made you question who God made you to be.

Somewhere between heartbreak, betrayal, loss, rejection, and disappointment, you started to believe the voices that told you, “You’re too much.”  Sometimes it’s not the harsh words that hurt the most. It’s the silence from those who should’ve spoken life that made you believe you weren’t enough.

Little by little, their words, their absence, their opinions — they dusted over your shine. Like a house that once sparkled with light and warmth, it got so cluttered with doubt and survival that you couldn’t see you anymore.

But it’s time to clean it off, sis. To wipe away what life tried to label you and see yourself, your purpose, and your blessings from a fresh perspective again.

You’re still Her. You’ve just forgotten for a moment.

Did you forget that you are “Her”?

Here are 5 signs that will show if you forgot that you are Her.

1. You think you’re too much, so you shrink your light to make others comfortable.

Somewhere along the way, you started believing that your confidence was arrogance and your excitement was “too loud.” But sis, you were never meant to dim your light — you were meant to guide others with it. The right people don’t need you smaller; they need you shining.

2. You stopped doing the things that make your soul come alive.

Remember when you used to sing, write, dance, create, or dream — just because it made you feel alive? Life gets busy. Responsibilities pile up. But neglecting your passions slowly disconnects you from your purpose. Reignite that spark. God didn’t give you gifts for you to bury them — He gave them so you could bless others.

3. You keep people around who prefer the quiet, watered-down version of you.

If they can’t handle your growth, they don’t deserve front-row seats to your becoming. The version of you that plays small keeps everyone comfortable except you. This season, you need people who push you closer to purpose, not those who drain your fire.

4. You’re surprised when people compliment you — because you’ve forgotten your greatness.

You downplay your wins. You brush off kind words. But you don’t see that you’ve been surviving storms that would’ve drowned others. You’re doing better than you think. Take a moment, look in the mirror, and remind yourself: You are fearfully and wonderfully made.

5. You believe you blend in with the crowd, when God made you to stand out on purpose.

You were never meant to fit in — you were meant to inspire. Comparison tricks you into thinking you’re behind, but God’s timeline for your life is custom-built. There’s a reason your path feels different. It’s divine.

Conclusion: You’re Still Her

Sometimes “finding yourself” isn’t about becoming someone new — it’s about remembering who God already said you were. You’re still Her — you just buried her under survival. Now it’s time to rise again. The real you never left. She’s just waiting for you to remember.
